Milford Sound is one of the most famous destinations in all of New Zealand. It's located in the Fiordland National Park on the South Island of New Zealand and was named a World Heritage Site because of it beauty. Rudyard Kipling named it the eighth wonder of the world. It is actually a temperate rain forest - it is known as the wettest inhabited place in New Zealand and one of the wettest in the world. Milford has hundreds of beautiful waterfalls year round. This is the base of the stunning 155m (or 508 ft) tall Stirling Falls. Other than a slight increase in contrast, this photo is straight out of the camera.
If you'd like to see the entire falls, you can view it here: http://www.colleenmgriffith.com/Galleries/Travel-Destinations/New-Zealand/3907408_pWaRE#496357413_A62es
